Beyond Rubber Mixing: How Custom Compounds and Sealing Products Support Diverse Industries

Most people think we just make tires when they hear we’re in the rubber biz. But really, mixing rubber and making seals is a whole different ball game. Here at MIS Rubber, we whip up custom rubber stuff like FKM, FFKM, HNBR, and turn them into sealing parts like O-rings, oil seals, gaskets, and all sorts of special rubber bits.

Over the years, I’ve learned that picking the right rubber for the job is just as important as making sure the size and shape are right.

Why Rubber Mixing Is More Than Just Colors and How Hard It Is

Our factory is in Jiangsu, China, and it’s got both fancy automated lines for mixing custom rubber and machines that mold sealing parts.

We play around with:

FKM (that’s fluorocarbon rubber)

FFKM (perfluoroether rubber)

HNBR (hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber)

AEM, FVMQ, and a bunch of others

Each of these has its thing. Like:

FKM is great for car engines and fuel systems

HNBR is awesome for oil seals and big machines

FFKM can handle semiconductors or chemical plants

It’s not just about resisting chemicals, but also how it handles the heat, how strong it is, and sometimes even getting the color just right for some customers.

From Raw Stuff to Seals: What It Looks Like in the Real World

We often have folks asking us for both the raw rubber and the seals all done and ready to go. Here’s how that usually goes:

Step 1: We figure out the rubber recipe based on what the client needs (like FKM that’s a certain hardness and with certain ingredients)

Step 2: We mix it up and test it in our lab (how thick it is, how strong it is, how it ages)

Step 3: We make the sealing parts: O-rings for cars ,Oil seals for pumps ,Gaskets for heat exchangers or those wearable gadgets.

Here’s one example:
We hooked up a Korean machinery company with both the FKM rubber and the gaskets – saving them hassle and making sure everything was the same stuff.

Why This Is Cool if You’re Buying from Overseas

If you’re buying from another country, whether you’re bringing stuff in, selling it, or using it, knowing that one place can handle both the rubber and the parts is a big win:

Better stuff: You can track everything from the start to the finish

Quicker samples and custom work: No waiting on different companies

Cheaper costs: Straight from the factory

What to Keep in Mind

At MIS Rubber, we’re not just mixing rubber, we’re fixing sealing problems for all kinds of businesses, from cars and oil to those tiny computer chips and wearable tech.
