When they do, they realize they needed FKM or FFKM. Tough lesson learned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">O-Rings, Oil Seals, Gaskets: The Shape Is Key<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Let&#8217;s be clear:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">O-ring = shape<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Oil seal = what it is<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Gasket = custom fit shapes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It can be FKM, FFKM, HNBR, silicone, etc. So, when we give quotations, we usually need both:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">What thing is it? (O-ring, gasket, etc.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">What material? (FKM 75 Shore A, HNBR 70 Shore A&#8230;)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you don\u2019t know, send a sample. Smart buyers do this when working with fresh sellers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Real-World Stuff to Consider<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">From what I see in the exports niche:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Latin American buyers go for HNBR and FKM for auto parts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Middle Eastern buyers ask for FKM and FFKM for oil fields.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Russia wants EPDM, and NBR too. But that&#8217;s one for another time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Markets are different, but the material choice logic is the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One Last Thing<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If a supplier asks about size and color when you buy rubber seals. Be careful.
